My friend wanted to do something a little extra nice for her kids' teachers for the holidays so she asked me to created these personalized ornaments for each teacher.  Needless to say, the teachers loved them!  I have so much respect for teachers that I never turn down an offer to do something special for them.

I hope all of you have finished all of your holiday baking and shopping.  Wishing everyone:

Decorating gingerbread cookies

We went to a friends house on Friday evening for a get together and we thought it would be fun to have the kids decorates gingerbread cookies.  I made all the gingerbread cookies and provided the icing and fun little decorations for the kids to get creative....and creative they got!!  After the kids were all running around like crazy all evening, it was amazing how quiet the kids got while they were decorating their cookies!  It's like they were focusing all their concentration on the cookie (and who wouldn't).  Here are some of the kids' gingerbread creations:

Welcome to the World baby!

A friend was hosting a brunch with some of her sorority sisters to celebrate the birth of a baby girl.  She wanted to do baby-themed cookies, but something with meaning.  It turned out the crescent was the symbol for their sorority, so I decided to do a Man-in-the-Moon cookie favor to symbolize the sorority and the new baby girl!  Welcome to the world!

Princess Tea Party

From the jewels to the shoes and the tiaras and the dress, every young girl dreams of being a little princess.  And of course along with being a princess comes the ever-enchanting princess tea party. This tea party was for a special little girl who has been dreaming of having a tea party for her birthday with everything in pink and purple (her favorite colors).

Happy Diwali!

Diwali is the festival of lights and celebrates the triumph of good over evil.   Diwali also celebrates a new year which is a time for many people in Indian and throughout the world to start new endeavors, and make their homes neat and clean to welcome luck and good fortune during Diwali.  During this season of festivities, many people throw Diwali parties and exchange gifts and sweets.

A friend of mine just bought a new place and she hosted a "Welcome Home" Diwali party.  These diwali cookie favors celebrate the bright and vibrant colors of Diwali and they are decorated with a gold "Om", the utmost sacred symbol in Hinduism.

Here are the cookies with only the first layer of icing.

The Om is hand-written and 'painted" with gold luster dust.

All proceeds from the pink ribbon cookies will be donated to the:
