Sympathy

Unfortunately, not every occasion for making cookies is a happy one.  This cookie assortment was created for someone who's father had recently passed away.  These cookies are a lovely gesture to let someone know how much you care and that you are thinking of them during their difficult time.  Even during a time of sadness, cookies can always help put a smile on someone's face.

Another Princess Tea Party

These cookies were created for a friend's daughter's little princess tea party.  I love tea parties....they are such a wonderful way to connect with friends, daughters or grandaughters. I have no daughters of my own, which is probably why I love them even more.

Here is a picture taken by my friend Chetna.  She is using the tiara cookie favors as part of her princess tea party goodie bags.

Winter Wonderland

These are some winter snowflake cookies that I forgot to post earlier. Since snow is being predicted on the forecast, I thought they seemed appropriate to share these with everyone today.
I'm so excited to get this new year off to a great to start. I've made my New Year's resolutions.....let's see how long they last! ;)
Have a Safe and Happy New Year!

Christmas Ornaments

My friend wanted to do something a little extra nice for her kids' teachers for the holidays so she asked me to created these personalized ornaments for each teacher.  Needless to say, the teachers loved them!  I have so much respect for teachers that I never turn down an offer to do something special for them.

I hope all of you have finished all of your holiday baking and shopping.  Wishing everyone:
 Merry Christmas
Happy Hanukkah
Happy Holidays
 and
Happy New Year!

Star for a day

I made these star-shaped favors for a friend's daughter's first birthday party.  I chose the stars because it had signficance to the girls name "tara" which means star in Hindi.

Decorating gingerbread cookies

We went to a friends house on Friday evening for a get together and we thought it would be fun to have the kids decorates gingerbread cookies.  I made all the gingerbread cookies and provided the icing and fun little decorations for the kids to get creative....and creative they got!!  After the kids were all running around like crazy all evening, it was amazing how quiet the kids got while they were decorating their cookies!  It's like they were focusing all their concentration on the cookie (and who wouldn't).  Here are some of the kids' gingerbread creations:
